Adam Behrendt

Adam studies math and computational science at Stanford, with the goal of going to medical school and becoming a physician. He previously served as a Navy medic, and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan supporting various regional reconnaissance operations from 2010 to 2014. At Stanford, he recognized a need for leadership in expanding opportunities for veterans in higher education, and he has since becoming President of both Stanford's undergraduate veteran organization and The Ivy League Veterans Council. His long-term goal is to apply his experience in medicine and interests in math and computer science to expand access to patient care.

Tyler Eddy

Major: Astrophysical Sciences (Applied Math/Computing & Russian Language)
Tyler served five years in the Marine Corps as a Helicopter Airframe Mechanic before continuing his education at Princeton. He is currently studying for a career in research or commercial applications of astrophysical sciences.

James served eight years in the Air Force in the IT, postal, and administration fields, receiving several awards for his accomplishments. He is currently focusing his studies at UPenn on biotechnology and biomedicine.

Katie Yetter

Katie served five years in the Marine Corps as an F-35 Aircraft Safety Equipment Mechanic. She has obtained professional public speaking skills, as well as leadership skills from her military service. She enjoys communicating with others about her passions in science and the military. She is interested in research, primarily in the medical field.

Joel Fudge

Joel is a former Reconnaissance Marine Team Leader with four years’ experience in the Marine Corps. He is currently working for Brown's Office of Military Affiliated Students and is pursuing his BA in Environmental Studies with an emphasis on Sustainability in Development.

Mike Halberg

Major: Biology & Society (Molecular Medicine and Health Politics) / Minor: Biomedical Science
Mike served four years as an Airborne Infantryman in the U.S. Army, with a combat rotation to Afghanistan from 2011-2012 as a team leader in the Army's premier arctic warfare brigade. Witnessing the human cost of warfare galvanized his commitment to earn a medical education, and shaped his interests in studying the health sciences within a context of global politics. He maintains involvement with the military community as a prior-enlisted mentor for Cornell's undergraduate ROTC cadets, and as volunteer cadre when the unit conducts field training exercises.
